4th-grade Tree Program

Each year, Green Belt Bank & Trust partners with Hardin County Soil & Water Conservation District and Calkins Nature Area, to bring a ‘Tree Program’ to the 4th-grade students located in the Hardin County school districts, in celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day. This year's programs were held at Iowa Falls Rock Run Elementary, Eldora-New Providence Elementary, Hubbard-Radcliffe Elementary, and AGWSR Elementary in Ackley. The program includes planting a large donated tree at each school or at a local park, whatever the school chooses. Each student is also given a seedling tree to take home and plant.
